Morris On is not a real band, but rather a project led by Ashley Hutchings to revisit English Morris dance tunes and songs, played with a combination of traditional and modern instruments. Following the success of the first release, the concept was expanded in a series of other albums - and also in concert - with contributions from many various artists.
The Morris On series includes the following albums : [m=208983] (1972), Son Of Morris On (1976), Grandson Of Morris On (2002), Great Grandson Of Morris On (2004), Morris On The Road (2005)
None of these albums are credited to a seemingly Morris On band (who doesn’t really exist as an entity), but several compilations have used this moniker to simplify the credit (or by ignorance).
