American graphic designer, artist, photographer. Born Frances Settelle. 1st husband Tony Scott (c.1950-1960.) Later married to William Attaway.
Fran was an internationally known fine artist, graphic, interior and landscape designer. She worked most notably as the inhouse artist with Verve Records in NYC. Close friends included Harry & Julie Belafonte and family, the late Sidney Poitier, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, Quincy Jones and Creed Taylor.
