Jim Coleman is the musical founder of Cop Shot Cop, who played keyboards and created samples for this band. After this experience he worked in other groups with more electronics or Baby Zizanie and recorded a solo album as Phylr. Also he put out an ambient album named Trees under his name and is known for scoring some indie movies.
