American composer, arranger and conductor for motion pictures and television. In his early stage, he also played reeds, e.g. with Woody Herman in Los Angeles in 1947. Attended University of California at Los Angeles and later studied composition with Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco and Henri Pensis.
