Issued as a 108 page embossed digibook with credits, photos and lyrics, with each disc in individual plain white sleeves, housed in a plain white textured thick card slipcase.
The shrink wrap has a large sticker on the back with the complete tracklist, catalogue # and barcode.
There are no track durations listed on this release.

After this limited edition boxset had sold out two years later, the audio contents were stripped down to a 2-disc version, as well as the graphical contents of the book down to a booklet of 24 pages and the resulting new set released as the unlimited compilation [m=273506].

1. Frontier {demo}
An early version of the song which was recorded on 4 track in Belgrave, Melbourne in 1981. Later remodelled for the debut album [m=14637], this recording was originally engineered [...] & mixed in November 1986 at Blackwing, London, for inclusion on the album [m=17492], a compilation of various 4AD artists.

A second John Peel session was recorded by the same musicians on 2 June 1984. Again There were four songs; Carnival Of Light & Flowers Of The Sea were re-recordings of songs from a 12 EP, [m=7603] whilst Penumbra & Panacea were early versions of tracks that would appear with different titles on Dead Can Dance's second album.

12. Sloth {radio}
On 16 August 1993, during a USA tour, Brendan & Lisa appeared on the Santa Monica Community radio KCRW show 'Morning Becomes Eclectic'. Between playing recordings & discussing their career, they performed two songs apiece, live in the studio. Sloth, entitled Dragging My Feet at the time, was later re-recorded for Brendan's 1999 solo album, [m=50183].
