A1 was recorded at Rockfield Studios in March 1981. B1 was recorded at Rockfield Studios in 1980, and originally appeared as the B side of The Puppet (KOW 11) in September 1980 and, later, on a free single (SAM 128) given away with Crocodiles LP copies at some point in late 1980 in the UK. It was also featured on the Crocodiles album (SRK 6096) itself in the US. B2 was recorded on a long day at Tistedal, Norway, in June 7 1981.
